Don Juan Tenorio returns to San Luis de los Franceses with nine performances at five euros

The church of the Conjunto Monumental de San Luis de los Franceses hosts nine performances of Don Juan Tenorio, by José Zorrilla, between October 28 and November 7. Tickets go on sale on Thursday, October 22 at 11:00 for five euros.
La Compañía de Teatro Clásico de Sevilla performs Don Juan Tenorio, by José Zorrilla, in the church of the Conjunto Monumental de San Luis de los Franceses. There will be nine performances between the end of October and the first days of November, in the middle of the All Saints season, the traditional date for this classic.
Dates and times
The performances will be on October 28, 29, 30 and 31 and November 1, 4, 5, 6 and 7. All in a single session: doors open at 19:30 and the performance begins at 20:00. The organization warns that, once it has begun, access to the venue is not allowed. The show lasts about 120 minutes.

Tickets go on sale on Thursday, October 22 from 11:00 on the platform entradas.com. The general price is 5 euros, with various discounts planned.
Who is on stage
The production is directed by Juan Motilla, with an adaptation by Antonio Campos and Motilla himself. The cast is led by José María del Castillo as Don Juan Tenorio and Silvia Beaterio as Doña Inés de Ulloa. Completing the cast are Íñigo Núñez (Don Gonzalo de Ulloa), Luis Alberto Domínguez (Don Luis Mejías), José Chaves (Don Diego Tenorio and the sculptor), Guillermo Jiménez (Ciutti), Gina Escánez (Buttarelli, Lucía and the abbess), Manuela Reina (Brígida), Santi Rivera (captain Centellas) and Nacho Bravo (Don Rafael de Avellaneda).
For the company, this play has a special value: it was the production with which it began its professional activity in 2005. The director, Juan Motilla, says that «the closeness that this stage space offers with the audience is very special» and considers it a luxury to perform here a text where «the essence of Sevilla runs through the whole text».
Heritage as a stage
The initiative is promoted by the Área de Cultura y Ciudadanía of the Diputación de Sevilla, which programs cultural activities in the monumental complex. The provincial deputy for Cultura y Ciudadanía, Casimiro Fernández, states that San Luis «is also a living space, capable of hosting cultural proposals».
