Gelves celebrates the tenth Río y Sabor Gastronomic Fair from October 16 to 18

Puerto Gelves hosts the tenth edition of the Río y Sabor River and Sea Gastronomic Fair on October 16, 17 and 18, with stands, bars, live cooking, music, children's workshops and boat trips on the Guadalquivir.
The tenth edition of the Río y Sabor River and Sea Gastronomic Fair is held on October 16, 17 and 18 at Puerto Gelves. The venue will have stands and bars in which establishments from Gelves will participate with local gastronomy proposals, according to the Gelves City Council.
Friday's program
The fair will open on Friday, October 16 at 19:30 with the official inauguration and the opening of stands and bars. At 20:00, chef Enrique Sánchez, presenter of the program Cómetelo on Canal Sur Televisión, will offer a showcooking. At that same time, traditional games for children begin, until midnight, and the lecture by historian Marcos Pacheco Morales-Padrón on Seville and the Guadalquivir in the 16th and 17th centuries. The day ends with the performance of Paco Canalla, from 23:00 to 1:00.
Saturday and Sunday
On Saturday the stands and bars open at 12:00, coinciding with the XXIV Concurso de Recetas Caseras de Arroz Territorio Guadalquivir. At 12:30 there will be a beacon gymkhana and at 15:30 the rice tasting and prize ceremony. In the afternoon there are workshops, sensory tables and a photomaton, and from 18:00 to 21:00 face painting and giant games. Doctor Diablo, Nya de la Rubia and Ricardo del Toro perform.
On Sunday the opening will be at 12:00, with the Masterchef Infantil and the lecture by José María Salamanca on the ships of the Indies fleet, with a tasting of orange essence wine. Juan San Juan performs from 16:00 to 18:00 and at 17:00 there is storytelling.
Boat rides and raffle
SurAvante and Cruceros Torre del Oro offer panoramic boat rides on the Guadalquivir on Saturday and Sunday, with departures at 13:00, 14:00, 16:00, 17:00 and 18:00. Navigation licenses are also raffled; the conditions can be consulted at the Ribera de Gelves orange essence wine stand. The children's attractions operate on Saturday from 13:00 to 15:00 and from 17:00 to 21:00, and on Sunday from 13:00 to 17:00.
Organization
Organized by the Gelves City Council and Puerto Gelves, with the sponsorship of Prodetur-Turismo de la Provincia, of the Diputación de Sevilla, and private firms.
