FELISE 2026 opens on Wednesday, October 28 and runs until Sunday, November 8. There will be 55 bookshop and publisher stands, more than 40 events in three tents, the Hispalit festival, Reader Con and more than 200 author signings. Entry is free.
The Seville Book Fair returns to the Jardines de Murillo. It opens on Wednesday, October 28 and closes on Sunday, November 8: twelve days of stalls, presentations and signings between avenida de Menéndez Pelayo and the barrio de Santa Cruz. It is organised by the Asociación Feria del Libro de Sevilla with the support of the Ayuntamiento, and entry is free.
The opening hours are 11:00 to 14:00 and 17:00 to 21:00 Monday to Friday. On Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays it stays open in the morning until 14:30.
Roberto Leal gives the opening speech
The journalist and presenter Roberto Leal will open the fair with the opening speech, on Wednesday 28 at 19:30 in the Espacio Fundación Unicaja, the large marquee in the venue. Leal published his first novel this year, «El sótano». According to the organisers, for him it is «a double gift»: sharing the moment with his land and his people, and being the opening speaker in the same year his novel comes out.
Three marquees and more than 40 events
The published programme brings together more than 40 events, spread across three spaces: the Fundación Unicaja one, the Fundación José Manuel Lara one and the Universidad Internacional de Andalucía (UNIA) one. There are presentations, round tables, talks, collective readings and award ceremonies.
The Centro Andaluz de las Letras brings four encounters: Isabel Bono with Sara Mesa on «El mal de la risa» (Friday 30, 19:45); Ignacio Peyró with the professor Lola Pons and the historian Luis Sánchez-Moliní on «Qué hacemos los domingos por la tarde» (Saturday 31, 19:30); Nerea Pérez de las Heras with «Fantasma» (Tuesday, November 3, 18:30), and Eloy Tizón with «Labia», together with the journalist and poet Braulio Ortiz Poole (Wednesday 4, 19:00).
Seville has its own round tables. «Noir sevillano» brings together Antonio Puente Mayor, Carmen Macedo and Gregorio Serrano to talk about crime fiction (Thursday 29, 17:30). «Leyendas sevillanas» tours the city through its stories and curiosities (Sunday 1, 12:00). And «Los suelos que perdimos» puts Francisco Gallardo, Francisco Robles, Francisco Correal and Carmen Camacho to talk about the gentrification of Seville (Sunday 8, 17:30).
The Universidad Loyola organises three conversations about reading today: social media and new readers, sagas and series, and how a book leads to writing. There are also tributes to Juan Ramón Jiménez and to the translator Fernando Rodríguez Izquierdo, a talk on the «Poesía completa» of Pepe Cala, the XII Maratón de Microrrelatos and an encounter about Bob Dylan with Eduardo Jordá.
Hispalit: five afternoons of conversation
The Hispalit festival, the fair's series dedicated to literature in Spanish, takes over the large marquee for five afternoons in a row, always at 19:30. It is hosted by the cultural journalist and screenwriter Marta Maldonado.
It opens with the Canarian writer and illustrator Lana Corujo, author of «Han cantado bingo» (Wednesday 4). Then come César Pérez Gellida, Nadal Prize 2024 with «Bajo tierra seca», in conversation with the Sevillian Fernando Repiso (Thursday 5), and Alana S. Portero, author of «La mala costumbre» (Friday 6). On Saturday 7 the cartoonist Paco Roca, National Comic Award for «Arrugas», and the novelist Jesús Carrasco, author of «Intemperie», sit down together. The rapper and writer Rayden closes on Sunday 8.
Reader Con, Halloween and awards
The weekend of October 31 and November 1 is for Reader Con, the young adult, romance and fantasy literature gathering organised by the association of the same name since 2015. There are five round tables with authors such as Iria G. Parente and Selene M. Pascual, Cherry Chic, Esperanza Luque, Paula Gallego, Raisa Martín or Clara Duarte, and an activity to meet the readers.
The night of the 31st has its horror programme: a dramatised reading of «El monte de las ánimas», by Bécquer (18:45), and a Murder Mystery Party (20:00).
At the fair the Relatos en Verdiblanco awards are presented, with a Real Betis Féminas player (Thursday 29, 11:45), and the Premios de Poesía Generación del 27 of the Ateneo de Sevilla, organised by the Diputación (Friday 6, 17:30).
More than 200 signings at the stalls
In addition to the events, the fair publishes a list of more than 200 signings at the stalls, without a presentation. Among the names are Jacobo Bergareche, Carlos Bardem and Felipe Alcaraz, Paul Pen, Inma Aguilera, Elaine Vilar Madruga, Julio Muñoz Gijón with María Hesse, and the cartoonists Albert Monteys, Paco Sordo and Jaime Martín. For the youngest, Pedro Mañas, Raquel Díaz Reguera or Margarita del Mazo sign. On the last day, at 19:30, Antonio Rodríguez Almodóvar signs in the central space.
The organisers warn that the programme will be completed gradually. The children's activities are not yet published.
More than 130,000 visits in 2025
The 2025 edition brought together more than 70 exhibitors in 57 stalls, with more than 180 writers signing, and the organisers estimated more than 130,000 visits over twelve days. That year the fair had to close for one day, October 29, due to the rain and wind warning.
The Feria del Libro de Sevilla received the Premio Nacional de Fomento de la Lectura from the Ministerio de Cultura in 2010 and the Medalla de la Ciudad in 2011.
All the fair's events, with their time and marquee, are in the YaSevilla agenda. The full programme and the list of signings, on the fair's website: felise.es/
