Guillena closes the Copa de Sevilla mountain races with more than 70 participants

The V Campeonato CxM Ruta del Agua-Guillena brought together more than 70 runners in categories from babies to cadets and was the last event of the Copa de Sevilla and the Copa Interprovincial in school age.
The V CxM Ruta del Agua-Guillena Championship brought the 2026 Copa de Sevilla school-age mountain running races and the Western Phase Interprovincial CxM Cup to a close on Sunday, October 18. The event brought together more than 70 runners, according to the Guillena City Council.
Races from babies to cadets
The competition included races for the baby, pre-benjamin, benjamin, alevin, infantile and cadet categories. The Council's Sports Councillor, Manolo Vázquez, attended the prize ceremony.
The event is organised by the Club de los Hijos del Viento with the collaboration of the Sports Area of the Guillena City Council, the Andalusian Mountaineering Federation (FAM) and the Junta de Andalucía. The club also organises the V Copa CxM CADEBA Sevilla, in which school-age boys and girls take part.
The circuit continues in Córdoba
The Final Phase of the Interprovincial Circuit will be held on November 8 in Cerro Muriano (Córdoba), where the best mountain runners in Andalusia will gather, as detailed by the City Council.
What the Copa CxM CADEBA Sevilla is
The Copa CxM CADEBA Sevilla is the school mountain running competition organised by the Club de los Hijos del Viento with the backing of the Sports Area of the Guillena City Council, the Andalusian Mountaineering Federation (FAM) and the Junta de Andalucía. School-age boys and girls take part in it, and the Guillena race has been the last of its 2026 edition.
For the runners
The next event for those competing in the circuit is the Final Phase of the Interprovincial Circuit, on November 8 in Cerro Muriano (Córdoba).
