The Alcalá Museum has opened its 2026/2027 season with a programme that includes exhibitions, painting competitions and series devoted to the city's heritage. The delegate Rivas has presented the calendar and has stated that the expansion works will not interfere with the activities.
An exhibition on Antonio Cerero
The new season devotes the IX Ciclo de Autores Alcalareños to the sculptor Antonio Cerero. The exhibition brings together a broad overview of his work, the fruit of his hands and his creativity, and spans four decades of the Alcalá sculptor's work. It can be visited on the upper floor of the Museum until November 8.
A book on the olive women workers
Life in the olive warehouses told in the first person by Amalia Borrero is the focus of the second volume of the municipal literary collection centred on the city's intangible history, under the title «Historias Contadas». The book covers the Alcalá olive tradition and the role of women in the warehouses.
Guided tours of the city
The history of the olive women workers, the city's altarpieces and the Torre Mocha are the focus of the XXV Paseando por Alcalá. The Castle, the banks of the Guadaíra, the landscape paintings and the religious altarpieces are the focus of the guided tours scheduled between October 17 and November 14.
