The project «Mi cole visita Cuatrovitas» brings the historical and cultural heritage of Cuatrovitas closer to students from the different educational stages of the municipality. This was explained by the Ayuntamiento de Bollullos de la Mitación, which presented this initiative at the VII Congreso Internacional de Educación Patrimonial (CIEP 7), held at the headquarters of the Instituto Andaluz del Patrimonio Histórico (IAPH) in Sevilla.

A poster with the results

The presentation was made in poster format and was given by Manuel Varilla Gallardo, concejal de Educación, on behalf of the Ayuntamiento. The work was prepared together with Alfonso Álvarez-Ossorio, from the Universidad de Sevilla, and Leticia, from the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela, within the Eduparq programme. At the congress the full programme and the results of the surveys carried out among the participating students were presented, which, according to the Consistorio, reflect a positive assessment across all ages.

Fourth edition under way

The Ayuntamiento is already working on organising the fourth edition of the project, which will be developed during the current school year. The councillor thanked the Hermandad de Cuatrovitas for its willingness to collaborate with the initiative and the involvement of the educational community through the Consejo Escolar Municipal. Varilla noted that «it has been a fantastic opportunity to share an educational experience that values our heritage and brings it closer to our children».

Educational trajectory of the municipality

The Ayuntamiento frames this initiative within its line of work in education, which has allowed it to maintain its recognition as Educaciudad and to move forward with its incorporation into the Asociación Internacional de Ciudades Educadoras (AICE).
