La Tercera Palabra lays the first stone of its Casa Hermandad
The Alcalá brotherhood will build its headquarters on a municipal plot on calle Santiago de Chile ceded for 50 years.

The Hermandad de la Tercera Palabra de Alcalá de Guadaíra has already laid the first stone of what will be its Casa Hermandad, on a municipal plot on calle Santiago de Chile. The Ayuntamiento ceded that land, measuring 612 square metres, for a period of 50 years, according to the Consistorio.
What it means for the brotherhood
The new facilities will give the corporation, based in the parish of Santa María y San Miguel, a space of its own to organise services, for fellowship among its members and to develop social and cultural projects. It will also serve to safeguard its heritage, which the brotherhood expects to grow in the coming years.
The project responds to the increase in members and in the corporation's activities, which the Ayuntamiento regards as a benchmark organisation in the southern area of Alcalá. Among its initiatives, the Feria de San Miguel stands out, which has become a celebration for the neighbourhood of the Campo de las Beatas and its surroundings.
The event
The event was presided over by the auxiliary bishop of Sevilla, Teodoro León Muñoz, accompanied by the parish priest of Santa María y San Miguel, Félix Amo. The mayor, Ana Isabel Jiménez, members of the Corporación Municipal, the president of the Consejo General de Hermandades y Cofradías, Enrique Ruiz Portillo, and the hermano mayor of the Tercera Palabra, Manuel García, attended, together with representatives of other brotherhoods of the city and of the Cabalgata de Reyes del Campo de las Beatas.
The mayor stated that the brotherhood «is much more than a brotherhood; it is a meeting point for residents, a mark of identity for the Campo de las Beatas and a driving force for coexistence and participation».
Requirements
The cession of the plot for 50 years was approved by the Junta de Gobierno Local of the Ayuntamiento de Alcalá de Guadaíra.
