Emvisesa and the Asociación de Vecinos Jiménez Becerril 27 have agreed to create a permanent channel of communication and collaboration. The agreement was reached at a meeting held on Tuesday, October 20 to address the current situation and the issues raised by residents.

Case-by-case review

Both parties undertake to carry out an individualised and exhaustive analysis of the files, so that protected housing regulations are effectively complied with. The shared objective, they indicate, is to seek solutions to existing problems within the current legal framework and taking into account the particular circumstances of each situation.

What Emvisesa is

Emvisesa is the Empresa Municipal de Vivienda, Suelo y Equipamiento de Sevilla, the municipal company of the Ayuntamiento responsible for facilitating access to housing for people and families with low or moderate incomes. It was established by the Consistorio on May 8, 1987, continuing the work previously carried out by the Patronato Municipal de la Vivienda de Sevilla. Together with Emasesa, Tussam and Lipasam, it is part of the Corporación de Empresas Municipales de Sevilla (CEMS).

Who it affects

The agreement affects the residents represented by the neighbourhood association, whose specific situation regarding protected housing will be reviewed. The review will be done file by file, so that each case will be studied according to its own circumstances and not with a single criterion for all.

What needs to be done

Those affected must contact the Asociación de Vecinos Jiménez Becerril 27 or Emvisesa to raise their case so that it is included in the individualised review of files agreed by both parties.
