Seven establishments in Peñaflor serve tapas for three euros during the weekend of November 13 to 15. Each one offers two specialities, so that whoever does the route can try up to fourteen different proposals in three days. The participating venues are Asador El Corral, Bar Central, Bar El Llano, Centro Cultural Ntra. Sra. de Villadiego, El Cortijito, El Rincón de Murillo and El Trastero. Among the tapas there are tostas, ensaladillas, meat stews and fish in tempura.

Tapaporte and popular vote

Whoever completes the Tapaporte can deposit it at any of the participating establishments and thus enter the draw for prizes donated by the collaborators and by the Ayuntamiento. As a novelty, this edition premieres a Premio popular: a digital platform will allow one vote per person to be cast to choose the best tapa, and among those who vote a prize provided by the organisation or by collaborating entities will be drawn. The establishment with the most votes will be the winner. The decision will be announced on Sunday, November 15, with the reading of the jury's minutes at the Ayuntamiento. Whoever cannot attend that day can collect their prize from Monday, November 16, from 9 to 14 hours, also at the Consistorio. The route is also presented as an excuse to get to know the municipality. During those three days, visits to its historic complex are promoted, with buildings such as the iglesia de San Pedro Apóstol, the ermita de la Encarnación, the convento de San Luis del Monte, the Almohad castle, the archaeological site of Celti or the wedding house of Blas Infante. The mayor of Peñaflor, José Ruiz Herman, has stated that the aim is «to promote our magnificent town by making known its richness, heritage, gastronomic variety» and to move towards quality tourism capable of generating employment. The route is organised by the Ayuntamiento and is sponsored by the Diputación de Sevilla through Prodetur. The presentation was held at the Casa de la Provincia and also featured the concejal de Juventud y Consumo, Ángel Sánchez Alcobendas, and Aitor Corrales, of Asador El Corral, representing the hoteliers. Full information about the event, with the venue and the price, is at la ficha de la XI Ruta de la Tapa de Peñaflor.
