Update of October 23, 17:05
The fair has already opened its doors this Friday and the Diputación has held the opening ceremony with the presentation of awards to the five recognized businesswomen. At the opening, data on female leadership was highlighted: women run 37.9% of businesses registered as sole proprietorships, 36.9% of business initiatives and nearly 40% of senior management positions.
The president of the Diputación, Javier Fernández, has called for promoting talent and female leadership as a strategic priority and has warned against a "new concept that seeks to return women to household care," against which he spoke of "regression." After touring the stands, Fernández and the deputy María Encarnación Fuentes received the new Board of Directors of the Asociación de Mujeres Empresarias Hispalenses, headed by Mariló Caro, with Mercedes Núñez and María del Rocío Inmaculada Cano as vice presidents.
The note sets a visiting and sales schedule: from 16:00 to 20:00 on Friday, from 11:00 to 20:00 on Saturday and from 11:00 to 18:00 on Sunday. However, the dates it indicates for those days (Friday 14, Saturday 15 and Sunday 16) do not match the calendar of the published news item (October 23, 24 and 25).
The Provincial Fair of Women Entrepreneurs (FEPME) is celebrating its twentieth anniversary with 37 exhibitors from 32 municipalities in the province. It can be visited from Friday, October 23 to Sunday, October 25 in the Patio de la Diputación de Sevilla, free of charge and continuously throughout the weekend.
