The Carnival of Morón de la Frontera is already looking for the image that will announce it in 2027. The Ayuntamiento has called the contest to choose the poster announcing the fiesta, with a single prize of 1.000 euros, subject to the corresponding IRPF withholding, according to the Consistorio.
Any artist or creator may take part, provided the work is original. If the entrant is a minor, they must have a legal representative of legal age. The theme is free, but the works must capture the spirit of the Morón carnival and include some representative element of Morón de la Frontera. In addition, the poster must legibly bear the legend «Morón, Ciudad de Carnaval del 12 al 28 de febrero de 2027».
The originals must measure 70 x 50 centimetres and may be made with any plastic technique. Digital proposals are also accepted in JPG, TIFF, PSD, AI or PDF, at 300 dpi, also submitting the computer file of the poster.
Without signature and under a motto
The works are submitted without signature or any element that allows their author to be identified. Each work will go under a motto, and alongside it a sealed envelope identified only with that motto will be delivered. Inside will go the participant's personal details and a sworn declaration certifying the originality and authorship of the work.
The originals are delivered unframed, but mounted on a rigid support that allows them to be displayed. The deadline is open until December 9, 2026.
They can be taken in person to the Espacio Santa Clara, Oficina Municipal de Turismo, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 to 14:00 hours. They are also accepted by post or courier, free of charge, to the Delegación de Carnaval – Oficina de Turismo, calle Utrera, 1, 41530 Morón de la Frontera (Sevilla).
For questions, the Oficina Municipal de Turismo attends on the telephone 95 585 48 21 and at the email turismo2@morondelafrontera.es. The complete rules are on the official channels of the Ayuntamiento.
The jury may declare the prize void and its decision will be final. The chosen poster will become the property of the Ayuntamiento, with the reproduction and dissemination rights. The decision will be announced through the media.
The Consistorio keeps open in parallel the call for the poster of the Heraldo Real and the Cabalgata de Reyes Magos 2027, with a prize of 300 euros and a commemorative plaque and a deadline until November 30, according to the note released on November 3.
