Lebrija regulates private floats for the 2027 Cavalcade

Individuals, entities and associations that want to take part in the 2027 Lebrija Three Kings Parade with a float of their own construction now have the rules. The City Council has published a municipal edict with the conditions they must meet, according to the Consistory. The deadline to submit the application is open until November 27, 2026. The procedure is done through the municipal electronic headquarters (sede.lebrija.es), in the section for submitting documents. Legal persons and entities are required to do so electronically, in accordance with article 14.2 of Law 39/2015. The theme of the float must be aimed at children and be in keeping with the Christmas festivities. Authorization to take part will depend on the report from the Delegation of Festivities.

The edict prohibits playing sound or music with public address systems or other means on the floats, and also installing elements that could endanger participants or the public. The loading of sweets and other authorized gift items will be done only in the place designated by the Delegation of Festivities, to avoid delays along the route. If this is not complied with, the float may be removed immediately. Floats may only move along the Parade route and, beforehand, along the shortest route between the assembly point and the starting point. Technical staff from General Services will inspect those registered to check that they meet the conditions. Whoever is in charge of each float must follow the organization's instructions at all times and remain on it until the end of the route. If the Parade is suspended, before or during the procession, they must still follow the instructions of the organization and of the authorities. Failing to comply with any of these rules may mean the float is excluded or removed once the route has begun, in addition to the penalties provided for in municipal ordinances.
