Pilgrimage of Nuestra Señora de Valme

The Romería de Valme is held with a security and mobility operation of around 850 personnel. The bulk of the operation is concentrated on Sunday, October 18, the day of the pilgrimage.
The A-8032 road, known as the "old road", is closed from 07:00 to 23:00 hours. Only numbered wagons, galeras, mule-drawn carts and horse-drawn carriages that have submitted their documentation to the Hermandad de Valme may access that road.
The procession is made up of 19 traditional wagons, 60 curly-paper galeras, 50 mule carts and 12 horse-drawn carriages. The riders, the wagon and the galeras set off from the Plaza de la Constitución.
